John Wyatt Edgar had been running his own fantasy league with obscure scoring and deep benches. We allowed him to bring this creation to the RFFL and it was deemed the X-League. Although fun for many, the league had no entry fee and the competitive nature felt the results of having no cash reward. This idea would be transformed into a different concept the following year.
We also tried to become more current in 2012 by releasing rfflfootball.com for league stats and history. This website would allow for easier access to the associated sites and owner profiles.
2012 would also be the year that league owner Justin Benline would go to the finals in all three leagues. This is a feat that has never been done and although only winning one out of the three, it is a tremendous accomplishment.
